Start sporting career
He took up the sport at age five in Solothurn, Switzerland.
Reason for taking up the sport
He told his parents that he wanted to try gymnastics. He went to a training session and enjoyed it straight away. He likes the sport because it has variety and is challenging. "I was about five years old when I first saw gymnastics on TV. My parents told me that I was immediately enthusiastic."
Ambitions
To compete at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. (schweizer-illustrierte.ch, 07 May 2021; blick.ch, 22 Aug 2023)
Philosophy / Motto
"I try to consider nerves before competing as something positive that gives me energy. If I fail to do that, which is not very common, I always calm down by saying that I've done it in training and that I have mastered the exercises. Positive thinking and having fun with gymnastics helps." (noz-oberaargau.ch, 10 Apr 2019)
Awards
In 2014 he was named Best Male Talent of the Oberaargau region in Switzerland. (oberaargauer.ch, 11 Dec 2014)
