FUTURE PLANS
She said the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, may be her last competition. "I've been lured back for the World Games in July [2017], and the Commonwealth Games in April [2018] will probably be my last competition. After that, I will probably look towards finishing my physical education degree, which has taken seven years so far, and also looking forward to staying in the sport, coaching the younger talented girls who are coming up." (thesaturdaypaper.com.au, 27 May 2017)
SPORTING EXPERIENCE
She said starting out late in the sport may have helped her career longevity. "Purely because of the strain the sport puts on your body, and the amount of hours that you have to train per week is incredibly taxing, obviously. But I started quite late in the sport, I was 11, so I think that slightly later start has helped give me longevity in the back half of my career. I returned from Rio thinking I was almost certainly going to retire." (thesaturdaypaper.com.au, 27 May 2017)
TRAINING IN RUSSIA
She has spent time training in Saint Petersburg, Russian Federation. "My sport is a European sport. If you don't spend enough time over there training with the best and keeping across all the advances, you'll just get left behind." (couriermail.com, 03 Mar 2016)
