Reason for taking up the sport

Additional information
ALLERGIC REACTION
The night before the men's team final at the 2022 European Championships in Munich, Germany, he had an allergic reaction after eating noodles believed to have contained nuts. He required treatment from the British team doctor after his face swelled and he began experiencing breathing difficulties. He went on to win a gold medal in the men's team event. "I felt so uncomfortable, I was tossing and turning, rubbing my eyes a bit. I was struggling to breathe a bit. Luckily Joe [teammate Joe Fraser] came out of the shower. He noticed my face was swollen. It was very, very scary, I'd never experienced anything like this before. To happen the day before one of the biggest competitions is not ideal. A couple of times I thought, I don't think I can do this [compete in the men's team final]. But I felt okay in the warm-up. I'll never eat a nut again." (bbc.co.uk, 24 Aug 2022)
NAMED ELEMENT
The International Gymnastics Federation [FIG] has included the 'Tulloch' and the 'Tulloch 2' in their Code of Points scoring system for rings. The 'Tulloch' was first performed at the 2014 World Championships in Nanning, People's Republic of China, while the 'Tulloch 2' was first performed at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow, Scotland. Both elements have a difficulty value of F. "Something I'm very proud about is having two skills named after me in the Code of Points, not many gymnasts in the world can say their surname will be in the book of gymnastics forever." (FIG, 01 July 2022; tresamagazine.com, 07 Oct 2022; FIG Channel YouTube channel, 15 April 2019)
GIVING BACK
He feels a responsibility to help inspire the next generation of young athletes. "It's so important, I had it when I was in primary school, and I just imagine if I didn't have such good role models, then where would I be now. It's very important that athletes do these sorts of things a lot more. You want to see kids from your area following their dreams and doing whatever they want to do, I love to see that, so to give back to my local area is nothing off me."
