FROM RUSSIA TO AZERBAIJAN
In late 2013 she changed allegiance to compete for Azerbaijan. Due to injuries she had not represented Russia internationally at a major event since the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. "I spoke with the Russian gymnastics coach, Andrei Rodionenko, about switching to Azerbaijan and he gave his consent at once." After discussing it further with her mother she decided on the change.
