TIME IN BULGARIA
She has regularly spent time training in Bulgaria during her career since first going to Sofia at age 13 on an exchange trip. "I always say that Bulgaria is like my second home. I have been coming to train here since I was 13 and I say that I really learned what rhythmic gymnastics is all about with the Bulgarians. It was an experience that changed my life as a gymnast as well as my personal life. I came back to Brazil feeling like another person." CAR ACCIDENT
She had doubts about continuing her gymnastics career after she was involved in a car accident in 2012. The crash claimed the life of her best friend Eduarda Queiroz, who was the daughter of coach Monika Queiroz. "I thought about giving up. It was so difficult to live without her.
