INJURIES CAUSE UNCERTAINTY
Her preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro were affected by a foot injury. Following the Games she took some time off to recover from the problem until April 2017, but was then affected by back problems and an injury to her finger. She lost her motivation for gymnastics and started to consider her future in the sport. "It took me a long time to decide. I just wanted to rest. I did not want any more pain, but then I realised it was a very boring life without doing anything. So I decided that being here [with the national team] is what I want. I am so happy to be here."
