RETIREMENT
He announced his retirement from the sport in April 2019. "I always wanted to win a medal at the Olympic Games, so I felt much more pressure on the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. However as I consistently suffered an injury last year, I felt like it was the end of my sporting career. Therefore I decided to announce my retirement ahead of the 2019 World Championships and the 2020 Olympic Games that will be all held in Tokyo, because it will be perfect timing for me to make a contribution to the promotion of trampolining in Japan, if I can't compete anymore."
