Reason for taking up the sport
She began practising artistic gymnastics at a young age. "My sister often took me earlier to the class and I usually got bored. Next to the gym hall there was a trampoline and then I was offered the chance to try it. I combined it with [artistic] gymnastics but I liked it more and more so I then chose to focus only on trampolining."
Milestones

Additional information
TOKYO DISAPPOINTMENT
She finished 12th at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, having failed to make the final due to a mistake in her first routine. "It's frustrating because I was ready for the final, I was feeling good, I was in the right head space, I wasn't stressed, but I made a technical fault in my first routine. It was a stupid mistake, it was a one-in-fifty error, it's something I would never normally miss, so I don't know how to explain it. I did a good second routine, but it was too little too late. It was not easy to come back to competition after the [Olympic Games in] the summer. I was very stressed." (lamontagne.fr, 24 Nov 2021; lequipe.fr, 30 Jul 2021)
