INJURY PROBLEMS
She ruptured her Achilles tendon in May 2017. She hoped to recover in time to compete at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia, but the event came too soon and she decided to retire. She returned to the sport six months later. "I said to myself that I would give it another shot and if I've taken too long off and my body can't do it anymore, that's fine. But I found it easier than I had anticipated and if anything the time off had let my injuries relax and mentally I was happy to go to the gym." (7news.com.au, 19 Feb 2020)
BUSINESS OWNER
In 2018 she and fellow Australian gymnast Georgia-Rose Brown founded an accessories brand called Artium Sport. "I've started a brand with my teammate Georgia-Rose Brown called Artium Sport, which has given me something else to look forward to in gymnastics as it's based around artistic sport."
