Start sporting career
She took up the sport at age nine.
Reason for taking up the sport
She spent time studying at the Queensland National Ballet School in Australia and trained in other sports before she began rhythmic gymnastics. "I had tried more than 10 different sports. I actually went to try artistic gymnastics but on the other side of the gym were the senior rhythmic gymnasts training. I sat there in complete awe and immediately knew I wanted to become one of them. The next day I arrived at the gym in my leotard and little pink gym bag and trialled for the rhythmic squad. I was accepted and the rest is history."
Milestones
She and her teammates Emily Abbot, Himeka Onoda, Alannah Mathews, and Alexandra Aristoteli became the first rhythmic gymnasts to represent Australia in the group event at the Olympic Games when they competed at the 2020 Games in Tokyo. (thegymspot.com.au, 06 Aug 2021; SportsDeskOnline, 20 Jul 2022)
