She took up the sport at age four in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Reason for taking up the sport
Her parents introduced her to the sport. "When I turned four, my parents began taking me to different groups. First we stopped at figure skating. I stayed there for only three months. I had to leave because I started to hurt a lot. I remember very well the day, when together with my parents, we went to the Palace of Sports for the Deriugina Cup. I was delighted with the performances of the gymnasts. I was amazed at how they handled the apparatus, how they created art with their ribbons. The decision was made. I asked my parents to take me to rhythmic gymnastics. I realised that I wanted to connect my life to the sport and go towards my dream."
Ambitions
